Race Unity Day.

Mystic Tongues had a great show today at the Rochester, NY Race Unity Day picnic. The most moving thing about doing these performances is hearing how our music is touching the hearts of so many people. When Damien and I spoke about these instances we began to realize that the songs were no longer ours. Once we released the CD it became the songs of the community and that is such a beautiful feeling. When Damien was describing how he felt today he said it was like "singing along with the audience and the community was leading the song... it was a brilliant moment." I agree with Damien. It's so motivating to know that we can provide something as beautiful as the Hidden Words set to music. It's giving me motivation to keep going, writing, working, and teaching the cause.

I have performed in a lot of different bands in my lifetime, but none have been as rewarding as this.
